Agent Context
Every AI feature in Zero works by sending a prompt to a model, and a model with no context is guessing. It doesn't know what you sell, who counts as a good fit, how your emails are supposed to sound, or who your competitors are. You can paste that into every prompt you write — or write it down once as an agent context and attach it wherever it matters.
Contexts live at Settings → AI & Agents → Agent Context.
What a context is
A named document — "Company info", "ICP", "Email tone" — with a rich-text body holding the actual information. When an AI feature runs, the contexts attached to it are converted to plain text and prepended to the prompt as background the user provided.
A context is either Workspace, shared with everyone, or Personal, visible only to you. Admins can create both and switch between them with the Workspace / Personal tabs.
Contexts are never applied automatically. Creating one changes nothing until you attach it to an AI property, an agent AI step, or another AI surface. That is deliberate: it keeps prompts focused and stops irrelevant background riding along on every run.
The payoff is that when your ICP changes or you launch a product, you edit one document and everything using it follows.
Where contexts are used
AI Properties — attach contexts to a property and they go to the model with its prompt on every run. A property that scores deals wants your scoring criteria; one that drafts outreach wants your writing style.
Agents — the Run AI Agent action takes contexts the same way. Most useful for agents that qualify inbound leads (ICP and scoring criteria), draft outreach (writing style and company info), or enrich records (company info, so the agent knows what it is looking for).
Anywhere else you can write a prompt, you can attach a context. The selector is the same component everywhere.
Writing a good context
Short, factual and specific beats long and polished. A model does not need your preamble.
Be specific. "We sell to mid-market B2B SaaS companies between 50 and 500 employees" beats "We sell to businesses".
Prefer lists and short paragraphs over prose narrative.
Don't repeat yourself. If you have a "Company info" context, the "ICP" context shouldn't restate it.
One context per topic. Several focused contexts let you attach only what each feature needs.
Keep it current. Outdated context is worse than none.
Five to twenty short paragraphs or bullets is typical. Much longer than that and it probably wants splitting.
Managing contexts
From Settings → AI & Agents → Agent Context:
Add context opens the editor — a rich-text field with headings, bold, paragraphs and bullet lists. Save stays disabled until it has a name and an unsaved change.
Clicking a row reopens it, and shows which agents use it and when it last changed.
The trash button deletes it. If anything is using it, the confirmation names exactly what, and confirming cleans the reference up everywhere.
The Personal context toggle in the editor moves a context between scopes. Making a shared context personal warns you first, since everyone else loses access.
Import from agent, on the Personal tab, gives you a prompt to run in the AI assistant you already use; paste its answer back and Zero turns it into personal contexts for your writing style and work preferences.
New contexts offer starter templates — Company information, Investor information, Email writing style — which fill the editor with a working example you then edit. They are starting points, not fixed; you can also start from nothing.
Attaching a context
Open the configuration for an AI property or agent AI step, find the contexts selector at the top of the prompt editor, and pick what you need. Attach as many as are genuinely relevant — each one lengthens the prompt. Save, and the next run includes them.
You can also write a new context from there without leaving the page; it becomes available to attach immediately.
