Fireflies

Connecting Fireflies.ai brings your meeting notes, transcripts and recordings into Zero. Each meeting is matched to its calendar event, the overview and action items go into the event's notes, and the full transcript is attached.

Fireflies API access requires a paid Business or Enterprise plan.

Setup

1

Open the Fireflies setup in Zero

Go to Settings → Connections → Notetakers. On the Meeting notetakers page, click the Fireflies.ai tile under Available notetakers.

Fireflies notetaker setup with an empty API key field, webhook steps, a placeholder webhook URL and a connect button
2

Copy your API key from Fireflies

Open your Fireflies Developer Settings and copy your API key.

3

Paste the key into Zero

Paste the API key into the field in step 2 of the setup wizard.

4

Configure a webhook in Fireflies

  1. Click + Configure

  2. Paste the webhook URL shown in the Zero setup wizard

  3. Select Meeting Summarized as the event

  4. Click Continue

The webhook tells Zero to sync each meeting as soon as Fireflies finishes summarizing it.

5

Choose whether to create tasks from action items

The Turn Fireflies action items into Zero tasks toggle is on by default. Leave it on to have Zero create tasks from the action items in each meeting summary.

6

Click Connect Fireflies

Zero checks the key and starts the first sync.

What syncs

The first sync reaches back two years. Meetings match on the calendar invite, or on title plus start time; anything that matches no calendar event does not reach your feed.

On a match, Zero adds the Overview and Action Items to the event's notes, attaches the speaker-by-speaker transcript, links the Fireflies recording, and — with the toggle on — creates tasks from the action items. After that, the Meeting Summarized webhook keeps everything current.
